ARMONA, CALIFORNIA (January 31, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, 12 people were injured on Tuesday in a 40-car chain-reaction collision at the intersection of Highway 198 and Highway 41. (map)
CHP Officer John Tyler reported that the multi-vehicle crash involved at least 40 vehicles consisting of small passenger cars to semi-trucks. There were no reported fatalities.
Officer Tyler stated that drivers were traveling too fast in the fog. 12 people were transported to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.
