BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (December 31, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, Altagracia Gutierrez and Miguel Irigoyen were killed on Saturday in a 20-vehicle collision on the Interstates 5 near Highway 99. (map)
The CHP reported that two car collided around 8:42 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the I-5 and were then struck by a big rig causing a chain reaction of two vehicles crashing into each other.
The CHP states that 35-year-old Altagracia Gutierrez and 50-year-old Miguel Irigoyen were pronounced dead at the scene while several others sustained injuries.
