CAMDEN, OHIO (September 12, 2017) – Melissa Hudson was tragically identified as one of the three people killed on Tuesday in an accident on U.S. 127, according to a local news source. (map)
The terrible accident happened just before 3:00 pm on U.S. 127 at the intersection with Central Avenue (also known as Route 725). A semi truck heading southbound on U.S. 127 ran through a red light and struck a 2004 Jeep Cherokee that was heading eastbound on Central Avenue, t-boning the vehicle on the passenger side.
34 year old Melissa Hudson was tragically confirmed to be one of the three victims killed in the accident. The other two were identified as Melissa’s husband, 34 year old Schon Hudson, and the couple’s 3 year old daughter Emerie. The semi truck driver, 61 year old Brian Murphy, sustained serious injuries and had to be extricated from his truck. Initial reports and witness statements indicate the semi ran a red light, but the investigation is ongoing.
