CANOGA PARK: A Male Pedestrian Struck by Truck on Sherman Way

CANOGA PARK, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2017) – A male identified to be in his 50’s, was involved in a collision while crossing street Monday evening according to the Los Angeles Police Department. (map)

The accident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. The male pedestrian was crossing the street when a truck traveling westbound on Sherman Way, just west of Shoup Avenue, collided into him, according to Los Angeles Police Sgt. Mike Zaboski.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with law officials.

The investigation concluded that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
