CHANDLER, ARIZONA (August 29, 2017) – A semi truck was involved in a fiery accident on Interstate 10 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:30 pm on the westbound side of Interstate 10. A semi truck crashed into a sedan, and the impact pushed the sedan into two other vehicles. Both the sedan and the semi truck then caught on fire.
Two people were pulled from the burning sedan by bystanders and a DPS trooper, and rushed to Maricopa Medical Center in unknown condition. The trooper and several bystanders were treated for burn injuries after the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
