DESERT CENTER, CALIFORNIA (June 30, 2017) – Three people were involved in a vehicle collision on the westbound 10 Freeway east of Hayfield Road Friday evening, according Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. (map)
The accident was reported at approximately 8:13 p.m. One of the victims suffered major injuries and was airlifted to the hospital for treatment after CPR was performed. The two other victims were transported via ambulance to hospital for treatment of injuries ranging from Minor to moderate. One of the victims later died from the injuries sustained in the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The westbound side of the 10 Freeway was closed momentarily as the helicopter pick up the victims of the collision, according CHP. No other details of the accident were immediately available.
