COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2017) – At least one person was injured in a serious accident on Newport Boulevard on Monday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:48 am at the intersection of Newport Boulevard and 16th Street. A black pickup truck, a gardening truck, and a third vehicle were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The pickup truck sustained the most damage, and a man had to be extricated by emergency personnel.
The man from the pickup truck was rushed to a local hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries. Two men from the gardening truck and a woman from the third vehicle were not injured. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
