COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (August 12, 2017) – A female passenger was killed in a three car accident on the 405 Freeway near Bristol Street on Saturday, according to a local news source and a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 11:58 pm on Saturday. Two cars reportedly collided on the southbound side of the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa, near Bristol Street. The two cars were then struck by a third car. The most heavily damaged car was reportedly a greyish Nissan sedan with a Georgia license plate, and a light colored Nissan sedan was also involved.
A female passenger, identified only as being in her 20s, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. Three people were rushed from the scene to local hospitals in unknown condition. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
