DANVILLE, ILLINOIS (June 30, 2017) – A boy was involved in a collision with a train on Griffin Street near the Boys and Girls Club Friday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. when the train collided with the boy while on his bicycle, according to Public Safety Director Larry Thomason. The boy was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police officials are still looking to identify the name and age of the boy. The boy was alone when the accident occurred.
