“1 Killed, 4 Injured in Crash”
LANSING, MI (August 10, 2017) – – 27-year-old David James Crissey was involved in a deadly hit-and-run collision on the northbound U.S. 127 near Trowbridge Road, according to East Lansing Police. (map)
The accident was reported at approximately 8:00 p.m. involving two vehicles. Police found a vehicle had rolled over with Crissey and three passengers still inside.
Emergency crews had to extricate them. Crissey was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the passengers had to be hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. A third passenger child was seated in the rear car seat and sustained minor injuries.
The second car that was believed to have been part of the crash was located near Waverly Road and Interstate-496. The vehicle had pulled over and the driver had to be transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The expressway had to be shut down as a result of the crash, according to the Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team.
An investigation is ongoing to determine he cause and liability of the fatal incident.
