hit-and-runGRIDLEY, California– A pedestrian, whose identity has still not been released, was killed yesterday evening, by a hit-and-run driver, on Highway 99 and Obermeyer Avenue, according to a press release issued by the local Police Department. The accident occurred at about 5:35 p.m. when a vehicle hit a pedestrian who had been walking in the roadway. The driver then fled the scene, according to the press release. When emergency and fire crews arrived, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. There has been no identifying information released about the victim to date. The accident is still under investigation and the hit-and-run driver is still at large.
