“Bicycle vs Vehicle Fatality”
HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA (June 16, 2017) – 47-year-old Ryan Dennis Angus was struck by a vehicle while cycling on Ranchero Road Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 8:27 p.m. Angus was riding on Ranchero Road when he was hit in the head by a side mirror from a truck traveling westbound on the same street, according to the coroner’s office.
Angus was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene an cooperated with law officials. The investigation is ongoing.
