LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (August 30, 2017) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit and run accident on Anaheim Street on Wednesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 1:40 pm at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Oregon Avenue. A pedestrian that may have been riding a skateboard was struck by a vehicle of unidentified make and model which immediately fled the scene.

The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition after the accident. Investigators are still on the lookout for the hit and run driver, and anyone with information is asked to call the Long Beach Police Department. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
