ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2017) – Maria Rangel has been identified as the woman killed in a rollover collision on the 91 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:30 pm on Monday on the eastbound side of the 91 Freeway near the Imperial Highway off-ramp. A green Ford Explorer lost control for an unknown reason and overturned on the right shoulder.
68 year old Maria Rangel was rushed to UCI Medical Center, but was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. Three of the six people inside were ejected from the car during the collision, and initial reports indicate that at least one person was sitting in the cargo area of the SUV. One other person remains in critical condition, and has been identified only as an 83 year old woman. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
