PLYMOUTH, WASHINGTON (June 21, 2017) – A semi-truck driver identified as Ronald Slagg was killed after his truck was hit by a semi on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:00 pm on Wednesday on Christy Road. A semi-truck driven by 66 year old Ronald Slagg was reportedly struck by a BNSF train, at a crossing that had only a stop sign and no gate arms.
Ronald Slagg was airlifted to a nearby hospital after the accident, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The accident was enough to tear the semi apart, leaving parts almost a mile apart. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
