SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (August 24, 2017) – A bicyclist and a motorcyclist were injured with life-threatening injuries after colliding in Mira Mesa on Thursday, according to police. Both the driver and bicyclist were headed across the road from the right lane at Parkdale Avenue, according to San Diego Police Officer Tony Martinez.

The 28-year-old bicyclist was making a left tun against a red light when he crashed into the 56 year old motorcyclist who was driving in the left lane going east on a green light.

The two men crashed at the intersection at about 5:35 a.m. and had to be hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The bicycle was mangled as a result of the crash.
