SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (December 31, 2016) – A pedestrian identified only as a 26 year old male was killed on New Year’s Eve on Fairmount Avenue Expressway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:22 pm, when a male 26 year old pedestrian was struck by a Nissan Maxima on the Fairmount Avenue Expressway near Aldine Drive.
The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver that struck him remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities in their ongoing investigation.
