SKAGIT COUNTY, WASHINGTON (August 25, 2017) – Three people were injured in a motorcycle accident on the 5 Freeway on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near milepost 224 around 4:00 pm. A Can-Am motorcycle made a lane change and was struck from behind by a Toyota Prius, causing both vehicles to careen off the road and come to rest on the right side.
The motorcyclist and two others were taken to the hospital. It is unclear as to whether there was a passenger on the motorcycle or not at the time of the accident. The incident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
“Both motorists and motorcyclists need to proceed with extra caution on all roads. Motorcyclists are entitled to all parts of the road and are very difficult to see at times,” said the attorneys from West Alliance Injury Lawyers.
