HOUSTON, TEXAS (August 5, 2017) – A toddler was airlifted to the hospital after falling from the balcony of a Carnival cruise ship on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on Friday evening, on the Carnival Breeze cruise ship that was on its way back to Texas from the Bahamas. A 3 year old fell from a stateroom balcony to an outdoor deck area, and a helicopter arrived a short time later to airlift the child.
The toddler sustained injuries to her face but was reportedly in stable condition when she was airlifted. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
