JONESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA (June 22, 2017) – One of the two women killed in a head on collision with a semi truck on Thursday evening has been identified as Julia Williams, according to a local news source. (map)
60 year old Julia Williams was riding as a passenger in a vehicle driven by 19 year old Hayley Wetzel. Around 8:30 pm, a tractor trailer that was traveling southbound on Interstate 81, veered over the median and into the northbound lanes, crashing head on into the car carrying Wetzel and Williams.
Julia Williams was tragically pronounced dead in the accident as a result of her injuries. Hayley Wetzel was also sadly killed. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
